The short version
We don't use cookies to track you. We don't sell anything about you. We don't run advertising networks. If you just read the site, we never learn who you are.
If you're only browsing
We count visits with Plausible, a privacy-focused analytics tool. It uses no cookies, so there is no cookie banner. It records things like which page was viewed, roughly which country, and what kind of device — all in aggregate. It does not build a profile of you and does not follow you to other sites.
If you're a business on the site
Your licence record is public information published by a Minnesota state agency — business name, licence number, status, dates, and the address on file. We publish it because it is public. We cannot remove it at request, any more than the state can pretend it doesn't exist. If the record itself is wrong, that's a conversation with the agency.
Anything you told us is different. If you claimed your listing, we hold what you typed into the form — contact details, services, service area, smallest job, photos, and how fast you call people back. That is yours. Ask and we will remove it; your page goes back to showing only the public record.
Our claim form is hosted by Tally, which stores the answers you submit and sends them to us by email.
If you pay us
Stripe handles all payments. Card details go to Stripe, never to us. We can see who subscribed, which plan, and whether payments succeeded — not your card number.
If we email you
We send email through Resend. Our business inbox is Gmail, run by Google.
We email businesses about their own listing. Every email has a physical address and a way to stop hearing from us, and we honour that immediately. We do not send text messages or make cold calls.
Who we share with
Only the services above, each doing the job it's there for: Plausible, Tally, Stripe, Resend, Google, and our host, Render. We do not sell or rent anyone's information, and there are no ad networks or data brokers involved.
We would hand something over if the law required it, and we'd tell you unless we were barred from doing so.
How long we keep things
Public licence data, as long as it's published. What a business gave us, until they ask us to remove it. Payment records, as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Children
This site is for adults hiring contractors and care providers. It isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes
If we change this policy the date at the top changes. Substantial changes get an email to anyone who has claimed a listing.
